Gr 8 Up--Magic has always played an important part in superhero comics, and the Scarlet Witch has become more popular than ever with the success of recent MCU properties featuring the character. Using a different approach than the regular comics, this graphic novel takes all the Marvel magic users (Wanda, Agatha Harkness, Doctor Strange, Loki, etc.) and places them as teenagers at the House of Harkness, a magical school where they will learn to hone their powers. With Agatha's parents as the headmasters, she seems poised to remain at the top of the class, but when new student Wanda joins the school, it quickly becomes clear just how powerful she is. Chhibber continues her streak of youth-based Marvel stories, and this book features lots of typical high school drama and magic school story high jinks. Comic fans familiar with these characters will enjoy an entertaining twist of seeing them all at the same age, which offers a chance to see how their magic would affect one another at similar power levels. The volume is self-contained but has room for potential future sequels. VERDICT Presented in a similar style to DC's "Teen Titans" series by Kami Garcia, this book offers Marvel fans a wonderful YA-style glimpse into the teen and student lives of these beloved magical characters.--Adam Fisher
